Man Arrested For Hotel Arson

{Charleston, West Virginia}…Michael Dewayne Carter, 43, was arrested Friday morning at the Best Western in Charleston and charged with arson and attacking and injuring firefighters after police say he set fire to his hotel room. Police say, when firefighters tried to enter Carter's hotel room, a mattress was blocking the entrance, and, after firefighters moved the mattress and made their way into the hotel room, Carter came at them in an aggressive manner. He then got into a fight with one of the firefighters, and three firefighters tackled him to the ground.
