Former Evidence Technician Pleads Guilty


{Bluefield, West Virginia}…Gabriella Brown, 31, a former evidence technician at the Beckley Police Department, pleaded guilty to obtaining prescription drugs by fraud Tuesday in federal court in Bluefield. The Beckley Police Department announced in August that prescription pain pills were missing from its evidence room. Brown, who admitted to stealing more than 200 prescription pills from the evidence locker, faces up to four years in prison and a $250,000 fine when sentenced April 22, 2013.
