A House of Delegates leader is seeking Attorney General Patrick Morrisey's help in efforts to combat methamphetamine labs.
Health and Human Resources Committee chairman Don Perdue has asked
Morrisey to investigate sales of pseudoephedrine. The common cold medication is
an ingredient in the manufacture of meth.
The Wayne County Democrat made the request in a letter sent to Morrisey last week. He also asked the attorney general to take any legal action against drug companies that make the cold medication while knowing it's diverted to make meth.
Morrisey spokeswoman Beth Ryan says the attorney general's office will review the request. She said it's premature to comment further.
