Man’s body found in Putnam County

BUFFALO, W.Va. — High water in Putnam County claims the life of a man Monday night according to Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies.

The body was discovered in a creek in the Buffalo area.

Police said the man was working along a ditch line in Bear Branch Road around 6:30 p.m. when he was swept away.

The man’s name has not been released.
