Logan County Sheriff's Deputies are warning about a possible
scheme that could have serious financial consequences.
Deputies say they have received
information that a woman is trying to sell a debit/credit card reader in the
Chapmanville area of Logan County , as well as the Madison
area of Boone County
According to a news release, when the
woman tries to sell the machine, she asks possible buyers for a credit card to
show how the machine works. Deputies say the machine was presented as a
prototype, but once the credit card was swiped the information was stored on
the machine.

dealing with this scheme, deputies are asking you call the Logan County
