The sexual assault allegations at Burch
Middle School in Mingo County
were first reported in May of 2013.
By state law they should have been
reported to police within 48 hours. Instead, State Police didn't learn about
them for ten months.
The school's principal, Jada Hunter,
asked the victim's parents not to call the police, saying she would "take
care of it."
The 32-page injunction released Thursday describes Hunter's
interaction with the students and parents involved in the case. It lists
meetings and phone calls that happened, and some that didn't.
One list shows four days when Hunter
failed to return phone calls from the parents of a victim.
Employees at Burch Middle School
and the Mingo County Board of Education, listed in a civil injunction, were
served on Friday.
