The Mingo County
Grand Jury convened and returned 14 true bills, according to information
released by Mingo County Prosecuting Attorney Teresa Maynard. Of the 14, half
of those remain sealed.
The defendants
who were indicted on drug charges stem from investigations conducted by the
U.S. 119 Drug Task Force, which is made up of troopers with the West Virginia
State Police and a deputy from the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department.
The cases involved
many hours, assuring that multiple drug buys were confirmed and recorded before
the arrests and/or indictments were handed down.
