The annual West Virginia Public
Safety Expo wrapped up Saturday after four days of training for first
responders and displays of the latest in emergency response equipment.
The event got underway on Wednesday.
Public Safety workers sat in on lectures like safe schools, troubled kids and
dealing with crash injuries in the field. They’re also getting training like
Judo, reading smoke and basic emergency skills.
Last year, the event drew in more
than 500 people. Organizers are hoping for at least that many this year.
More than 50 vendors set up shop in
the grand hall Wednesday and Thursday showing off the latest in technology from
tires for emergency vehicles to fire gear and cruisers.
