Boone County Man Arrested

• {Danville, West Virginia}...Forty-seven year old Ernest Ulbrich of Danville, in Boone County, was arrested following a four hour standoff with police. Deputies responded to a shots fired call at a mobile home on Six Mile Road shortly after 3:00 A.M. Sunday morning. When they arrived, they discovered Ulbrich had destroyed the mobile home. He refused to come out for police and tried to hide in the back of the residence. Around 7:00 A.M., a SWAT team entered the trailer and took Ulbrich into custody. Deputies found multiple firearms and ammunition inside the mobile home. Ulbrich is charged with two felony counts of wanton endangerment by use of a firearm. Deputies say Ulbrich has a history of mental health issues and has been dealt with by several law enforcement agencies in the past.
