Logan Attorney Charged with Battery

A well known attorney in Logan County is facing some legal trouble after he allegedly got into a fight with a state trooper.

West Virginia State Police say Ben White went into a pizza shop in west Logan Wednesday night. Several troopers were eating when White is accused of making an obscene gesture toward them, according to the complaint. White was asked to leave.

State Police say he began to yell and shoved a trooper.

White has been charged with battery on a police officer.

White represented Logan Middle School Student Jared Marcum during a NRA t-shirt controversy earlier this year.
