Man Pleads Guilty To Distributing Opana
{Huntington, West Virginia}...Jacob Hatfield, 26, of Huntington, has pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting the distribution of Opana, admitting that, on November 18, 2011, he sold 25 Opana pills to an informant with the Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Network Team. Officers approached Hatfield after the sale, and he allowed them to search him and his vehicle. They found a backpack in the vehicle which had 1185 Opana pills and more than 40 Oxycodone pills. They also found 15 Opana pills, 30 Oxycodone pills, 2 Suboxone pills and $33,165 in cash on Hatfield. He faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine when sentenced in July.
