A coalition of environmental groups says it plans to file a
lawsuit over pollution at the Hobet 21 coal mining complex in Boone County
The organizations told Patriot Coal
subsidiary Hobert Mining in a letter Wednesday that they will sue if problems
are not corrected within 60 days. Federal law requires a 60-day notice of
intent to sue for Clean Water Act violations.
