Landau ready to start tour

Professional singer Landau Eugene Murphy Junior is ready to hit the ground running on his Christmas tour.  The Motown Christmas Homecoming Tour will start with an appearance Friday night in his hometown of Logan.  Then he’ll play dates from California to South Carolina, but one in particular has him incredibly jazzed.
“In between all that I’ve got to go to San Francisco to do Frank Sinatra’s birthday party,” said Murphy. “I can’t believe that. It’s going to be exciting.”
Murphy managed to land an appearance on the Sinatra show through connections made early on after his career took off.   He’ll also be traveling and singing with Motown legends Leonard, Coleman & Blunt..  Glen Leonard is the former lead singer of The Temptations. Joe Coleman is the former lead singer of The Platters, and Joe Blunt is former lead singer of  the Drifters.
“It’s really a busy schedule for me,” said Murphy. “But God blessed me with it and I’m going to continue to bring joy to other people’s lives.”
The joy starts Friday as it always does for Murphy as he performs a benefit show in Logan to benefit the Salvation Army, Logan High School Prayer Club’s Canned Food Drive, and the Matt Patterson Christmas Toy Drive. Ticket holders who donate to these charities can attend a special pre-concert VIP reception with Landau and Leonard, Coleman & Blunt to meet the stars, take photos, and get autographs.

Ahead of the show, Landau will be the grand marshal of the Logan Christmas Parade.
