Former BB&T Employee Sentenced

{Charleston, West Virginia}...Bonnie Bain, 60, from Belle, a former BB&T employee, has been sentenced to 30 months in prison for embezzlement after pleading guilty in June. Federal investigators say she stole between $200,000 and $400,000 in cash from the BB&T Bank on Charleston's West Side between May 2004 and October 2007 while making false log entries to hide the money she was taking and floating the money using a number of methods. As part of Bain's sentence, she will have to pay more than $293,000 in restitution. Bain worked at BB&T from 1977 to 2007.
