Robbery Arrest In St. Albans

{St. Albans, West Virginia}...Shawn Lamar Gilmore was arrested Friday afternoon after allegedly robbing two people at the same St. Albans apartment complex. Police say, on January 28th, Gilmore knocked a woman down and tried to steal her purse at an apartment complex on B Street, and, when she fought back, he grabbed a bottle of pills from her purse and fled. About 7:30 P.M. Thursday, Gilmore allegedly attacked a 17 year old while in an apartment in the same complex, and, when the youth fought back, Gilmore grabbed a hammer, stole some cash and fled. Gilmore was recently released from a prison in Ohio after a previous drug conviction. A preliminary hearing is set for February 13th.
