Bill To Upgrade State Parks Passes

{Charleston, West Virginia}...West Virginia legislators passed a bill Friday that allows for up to $52.5 million in bonds to be sold for projects at Cacapon Resort Park in Morgan County and Beech Fork State Park in Cabell and Wayne Counties. The debt on the bonds would be paid off from $3 million a year from state lottery revenue. State Senator Art Kirkendoll, D-Logan, says the improvements planned at Beech Fork will be a major boost to the further development of the Hatfield-McCoy Trail in southern West Virginia. The bill also approves a $23 million project for Cacapon where a 67,000-square-foot, 79-room addition to the lodge will be built.
