Man Wanted in Huntington Pharmacy Robbery

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- An arrest warrant has been issued for a man wanted in a robbery at the CVS Pharmacy at 20th Street and 8th Avenue, Huntington Police say.

Jeremy Johnson, 30, is wanted on a first-degree robbery charge. He is described as 6 feet, 5 inches tall and about 240 pounds, with multiple tattoos. He has lengthy criminal history and should be considered armed and dangerous.

The robbery was reported just after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Lt. John Williams says Johnson walked into the store and handed the cashier a note demanding money and stating he had a gun.

The cashier handed Johnson an unknown amount of money from a cash drawer.

Johnson then left the store on foot, crossing 8th Avenue toward the railroad tracks.

The note was collected into evidence.

A SWAT team was called out Wednesday night to search Johnson's home in the 2100 block of 8th Avenue. They say Johnson was not there. Officers did search the home for evidence.

Anyone with any information about Johnson's whereabouts is asked to call the Huntington Police Department tip line at (304) 696-4444  end_of_the_skype_highlighting or 911.
