Jeremy Johnson, 30, is wanted on a first-degree robbery charge. He is described as 6 feet, 5 inches tall and about 240 pounds, with multiple tattoos. He has lengthy criminal history and should be considered armed and dangerous.
The robbery was reported just after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Lt. John Williams says Johnson walked into the store and handed the cashier a note demanding money and stating he had a gun.
The cashier handed Johnson an unknown amount of money from a cash drawer.
Johnson then left the store on foot, crossing 8th Avenue toward the railroad tracks.
The note was collected into evidence.
A SWAT team was called out Wednesday night to search Johnson's home in the 2100 block of 8th Avenue . They say Johnson was not there. Officers did search the home for evidence.
