Numerous arrests were made after a massive drug indictment roundup Friday in Mingo County .
Early Friday morning, the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department assembled members of Operation Zero Tolerance, and began rounding up more than 50 individuals on felony drug indictments.
Earlier in the week, a total of 52 people were indicted on felony drug charges.
Most of the charges dealt with selling and dealing crack cocaine, prescription drugs and heroin.
A local sign shop was raided during the roundup and a person authorities called a “major supplier of drugs” was arrested.
In all more than 40 officers were used to simultaneously hit several communities throughout Mingo County .
Most of those arrested were from Mingo County , but some were from Columbus , Indiana and Detroit .
Friday’s roundup was part of an ongoing investigation since August.
