Two Wood County
Deputies with the Wood County Sheriff’s Department say the two were in separate pickup trucks that hit, head on, on Friday afternoon. The investigation continued on Saturday.
Those killed are identified as Greg Starcher, 21, of Rockport and Jamie Thompson, 32, of Mineral Wells. No passengers were in either one of the vehicles.
Starcher’s vehicle slammed into a nearby home, leaving a hole in the front of it.
