Police arrested David Nearhoof after he fired a gun in the parking lot of Tire Land in South Charleston Saturday.
According to the criminal complaint, when police approached Nearhoof, he took off running.
Police say the quickly caught Nearhoof and found a gun in his front jean pocket.
He is now in the South Central Regional Jail on a $3,000 bond.
Nearhoof has been charged with carrying a deadly weapon, fleeing on foot and shooting across a roadway.
