Inmate Killed During Fight

{Charleston, West Virginia}…State Corrections Commissioner Jim Reubenstein has confirmed that convicted murderer, 19 year old Jeron Hawkins of Dunbar, was fatally beaten in a fight with inmate 35 year old Anthony Young at the North Central Regional Jail in Doddridge County on Monday. Young was in the custody of the U.S. Marshal Service and being held at the regional jail awaiting sentencing after he attacked another prisoner at the federal prison in Hazelton, West Virginia.  The federal sentencing was set for January 3rd, but it had been delayed. Hawkins was convicted for the death of 28 year old Lucas Lee, who was shot during an argument over a spilled drink inside a downtown Morgantown night club. Hawkins was awaiting transfer to a state penitentiary.
