Police patrols increase near Marshall campus

Campus police at Marshall University are urging students to take advantage of police escorts to their cars after a sexual assault was reported near campus earlier this week.
Police say a female student was walking alone to her car in the 500 block of 20th Street Monday night at around 11 p.m. when she was sexually assaulted.
Investigators say patrols have been increased in the area.
There were two armed robberies in that same area of Huntington last Friday and Saturday. Arrests have already been made.
Marshall provides a daily service that escorts students to their vehicles. Interested students can call (304) 696-4357.
