Two Arrested For Fraudulent Check Scheme


Thirty-two year old Joseph Christopher Hajj of Nitro, West Virginia and 30 year old James H. Moore of Gallipolis, Ohio have been arrested by the U.S. Marshal Fugitive Squad in connection with a fraudulent check scheme totaling about $400,000 in several states. Hajj was arrested in Kennesaw, Georgia, and Moore was arrested in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Hajj and Moore are facing charges in West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky and Georgia. Investigators believe the two were writing fraudulent checks from a construction company and then purchasing items, including a truck deputies say Hajj purchased in Beckley.
