Extradition next in child death case

A man and a woman are awaiting extradition from a Kentucky jail after being charged with felony child neglect following a death a week ago in Lincoln County.
Pearl Jean Christian, 45, and her boyfriend Byron Morrison, 38,  were arrested over the weekend in Kentucky.
They were allegedly asleep in a home in Branchland Monday Jan. 14 when Christian’s two-year-old grandson climbed an electric cook stove and it tumbled on top of him. The boy was killed.
Christian and Morrison are charged with child neglect resulting in death. They were arrested at the boy’s funeral in Raceland, Kentucky.
The two are being held in the Greenup County Detention Center awaiting extradition.
