Crews Recover Missing Woman’s Body

{Laurel Creek, West Virginia}…Emergency crews continued searching Laurel Lake Sunday for the body of 55 year old Evelyn Joyce Farnum. The Mingo County woman went missing on December 30th. Saturday, investigators used sonar and were able to locate a vehicle in the lake. Early Sunday afternoon, her black SUV was pulled out of the lake with her body still inside. Donald Medley, her boyfriend and third cousin, and his brother, Gregory Medley, both of Laurel Creek, were arrested Saturday and charged with concealment of a deceased human body and conspiracy. Donald Medley is also charged with first degree murder. Police say he confessed to killing Farnum.
