West Virginia First…Governor Tomblin Inauguration


{Charleston, West Virginia}…Governor Earl Ray Tomblin will be sworn in at 1:00 P.M. Monday afternoon at the South Plaza of the state Capitol, making him the 35th governor of the 35th state in the union. The theme of the inauguration is West Virginia First. The public is invited to the inaugural ceremony. The ceremony will be followed by a public reception at the Great Hall of the Culture Center. The Inaugural Ball will take place Monday evening starting at 7:00 P.M. at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences. A viewing of the inaugural ceremony will be available inside the State Theatre at the Culture Center. Tomblin was sworn in to office in October 2011 after he won a special election to complete the unexpired term of former Governor Joe Manchin, who resigned when he was elected to the U.S. Senate.
