DHHR Communications Director Fired

{Charleston, West Virginia}…Longtime Department of Health and Human Resources communications director 56 year old John Law said Tuesday he has been notified that he is being fired after he and DHHR attorneys Susan Perry and Jennifer Taylor were placed on administrative leave in July. In September, Perry and Taylor filed suit in Kanawha Circuit Court against acting DHHR Secretary Rocco Fucillo, contending the disciplinary actions against them violated the state whistleblower law. Department spokeswoman Marsha Dadisman says Law will be dismissed January 23rd. Law has been with the department since 2001. For several years, he's been DHHR's main liaison to the Legislature.
