{Bluefield, West Virginia}...Seventy-nine year old John Watkins of Bluefield was fatally shot late Monday night at his home on Burton Street, and his wife, Monica, was injured. When police arrived, Monica Watkins was able to identify the shooter as 54 year old Donald Adams. Monica Watkins underwent surgery and remains hospitalized. Bluefield police found Adams early Tuesday morning and took him into custody following a brief foot pursuit. Neighbors say Adams was a frequent visitor to the Watkins home to borrow money.
