{Beckley, West Virginia}...A January 28th hearing is set to begin for Beckley Mayor Emmett Pugh. The four-day hearing will be held in Beckley. The West Virginia Ethics Commission filed civil charges in March after its Probable Cause Review Board determined there was enough evidence that Pugh violated the state’s ethics law. Pugh is accused of receiving more than $12,000 worth of ownership interests in companies in exchange for providing city contracts and free use of city resources. Pugh has denied the allegations.
