Felman Production LLC and the United Steelworkers Local 5171 have agreed on a new contract.
The the new contract agreement for the company’s ferroalloys plant in New Haven was announced Wednesday.
The 42 month contract will cover more than 215 workers at the plant.
The current contract was set to expire on January 4.
The United Steelworkers have been at this plant for 60 years and have been through three contracts since Felman bought the New Haven facility back in 2006.
The plant is one of two in the United States that produces ferrosilicomanganese, which is used as a deoxidizer and alloy additive to manufacture steel.
