Public Information Specialist Leslie Fitzwater says Asa Fitzpatrick, 63, of Kermit, died Wednesday from injuries he received when a piece of the mine fell from the ceiling while he was preparing to install a rib rolt.
The deadly accident happened at the Newtown Energy, Inc. Peerless Rachel Mine at Racine in Boone County
This is the fifth fatal mine related accident in West Virginia
