A burglary suspect is behind bars after a standoff Monday afternoon in Logan County
Police say Gregory Aldridge, 38, tried to break into an elderly woman’s home and threatened to kill her.
According to police, once officers arrived, Aldridge threatened them and then fled to his home along Charles Street
Police say the suspect swung a knife at the police before he was apprehended. Aldridge was taken to the hospital.
Aldridge faces several charges including assault and battery on a police officer, burglary and brandishing a deadly weapon.
