Parents Arrested in Meth Bust

WAYNE, W.Va.– Children were put in serious danger living inside a home with a meth lab, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies say.

Now their parents are in jail, and neighbors are left in disbelief.

Wednesday investigators made a meth lab bust at a home on Bluefield Street in Wayne and arrested the parents, Brandon and Betty Woods.

Wayne County Sheriff's Deputies and Wayne Police knocked on the couple's door, where they say a working meth lab was operating.

Deputies say the only good thing about this is the Woods’ two kids were at school and didn't have to watch their parents being taken away in handcuffs.

All suspects are charged with conspiracy, aiding and abetting, child endangerment and operating a clandestine lab.

A deputy says those kids were likely going to be taken in by Child Protective Services.
