Convicted Sex Offender Sentenced

{Charleston, West Virginia}...Charles Illingworth has been sentenced to 10-25 years in prison for the 2011 beating and raping of a woman on the bank of the Elk River near Pennsylvania Avenue in Charleston. Illingworth was already a registered sex offender after being convicted of sexual crimes involving children in Iowa and Nebraska and spent nearly five years in prison as a result. Illingworth was living in the Roark-Sullivan Lifeways Giltinan Center, a men's shelter in Charleston, at the time of the rape.
