Former Marshall University Linebacker Dies

{Myrtle Beach, South Carolina}...Twenty-nine year old J.T, Rembert, a Marshall University linebacker from 2001 through 2004, died around 9:00 P.M. Monday while vacationing with family in South Carolina. Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick says preliminary autopsy results show Rembert died of a pulmonary embolism. Rembert was pronounced dead at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. Rembert's best season was in 2002, when he played in 13 games and collected 33 solo tackles and assisted on 39 others. He had 4 1/2 tackles for loss, two quarterback sacks, two interceptions and a 34-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
