Huntington Woman Sentenced

{Huntington, West Virginia}...Lawanna D. Hamlin, 34, of Huntington, has been sentenced to two and a half years in federal prison after pleading guilty in March to possession with intent to distribute heroin. On October 14, 2011, members of the Huntington Violent Crime and Drug Task Force conducted a search of Hamlin's residence and seized various items, including approximately 10 grams of crack cocaine, a quantity of heroin, three digital scales, two .40 caliber handguns and, approximately $577 cash. Prior to the search, Task Force agents had conducted three separate controlled purchases of .5 grams of heroin from Hamlin on June 13th, June 14th and October 12, 2011.
