{Welch, West Virginia}...Forty-five year old Victor Horn of Welch has been convicted of involuntary manslaughter, wanton endangerment and child neglect in the February 2011 death of his wife Madeline. He was originally charged with first-degree murder. Horn was holding a gun while posing for a picture with his 12 year old son, and he claimed that, when the flash of the camera went off, he lowered or dropped the gun and it accidentally went off when he tried to grab it. Prosecutors argued Horn would've had to have gone through a five-step process for it to go off as he claimed.
