{Point Pleasant, West Virginia}...In April, police arrested Point Pleasant Intermediate Principal Cameron C. Moffett after they say he forced special needs student Zachary Plants to the floor of a bus aisle, shoved him out the door and held him to the pavement with his knee to the boy's back and his hand to his neck. About a week later, the state Department of Health and Human Resources opened an inquiry and took statements from the boy, several adult witnesses and Mason County Schools Superintendent Suzanne Dickens. According to a leaked investigative report, state child protective services officials could not find sufficient evidence to prove Moffett abused Plants. Attorney Mike Clifford is representing Plants in a federal lawsuit against Moffett and the school board.
