{Uneeda, West Virginia}...A man died in a three-story fall at Alpha Natural Resources' Independence Coal Co. in Madison Thursday. The state Office of Miners Health, Safety and Training says veteran mechanic 57 year old Clyde Dolin of Danville died at Liberty Processing near Uneeda in Boone County. Dolin was pronounced dead at Boone Memorial Hospital. Spokeswoman Leslie Fitzwater says Dolin had 39 years mining experience, including 13 at the Uneeda prep plant. This is the eighth coal miner death in the U.S. this year, the second in West Virginia and the second at an Alpha mine. Thursday, May 17, 2012
