{Charleston, West Virginia}...A murder victim's wife took the stand in a Charleston murder trial Wednesday. Ebony Poole said Garland Murray, 29, of St. Albans, and Deshawne Taylor tried to kidnap her and her husband Gregory, but she managed to escape. Poole testified she waited 12 hours to report to police that Gregory Poole had been kidnapped because she did not think her husband would be killed because she could identify his abductors, and, because they were drug dealers, she feared being sent back to federal prison. Prosecutors allege Murray shot Poole once and then shot him twice in the head after he fell in a yard on Second Avenue on April 21, 2010. His body was discovered hours later. Taylor pleaded guilty in October to conspiracy to kidnap Gregory Poole and said he and Murray planned to rob Poole of money and drugs.
