Retrial For Charleston Man Begins

{Charleston, West Virginia}...The retrial for Kenneth Eugene Carter, a Charleston man accused of beating a man to death with a baseball bat and critically injuring another, began Wednesday. A hung jury forced the judge to declare a mistrial in the case against Carter in March. Carter is accused in the beating death of roommate Ronald Forton. Police found Forton's body in July after another roommate, Brady Dunlap, told them Carter beat him into unconsciousness. Carter said he slept through the attack that prosecutors say was sparked by jealousy over his Vietnamese wife.
