Former Crime-Fighting Show Host Arrested

  • {Cabin Creek, West Virginia}...Forty-five year old Andrew Palmer, who formerly hosted the cable access TV show "West Virginia's Most Wanted" and founded the anti-gang group Chainbreakers, was arrested in the Cabin Creek area Wednesday night on breaking and entering charges. In 2005, Palmer, an ex-convict, gang expert started "West Virginia's Most Wanted" as a way to help track down local criminals and as a tip line to help police crack unsolved crimes. In December 2008, Palmer pleaded guilty in Kanawha County Circuit Court to breaking and entering and two misdemeanor theft-related charges. He was sentenced in August 2009 to three years of home confinement. In November 2007, Palmer pleaded guilty to battery after police charged him with beating a man who refused to buy him drugs. In March 2007, Palmer was ordered to pay his former fiancĂ©e, Wanda Ray, more than $22,000 after a Kanawha County jury found that he conned her into buying him a trailer.
