{Charleston, West Virginia}...A sentencing hearing for Shawn Lester, the accused Kanawha Valley sniper, was delayed Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to federal gun charges. The judge was concerned that additional evidence prosecutors would present in the federal case would taint the jury pool for the sniper trial set for July 30th. Lester is charged in connection with the 2003 murders of Gary Carrier, Jr. Jeanie Patton and Okey Meadows Jr. He will be sentenced on the federal gun charges on September 13th.
