{Charleston, West Virginia}...West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin says he won't attend the Democratic National Convention. Under party rules, Tomblin is an automatic super-delegate, but spokesman Chris Stadelman said Monday Governor Tomblin has serious problems with President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney. Senator Joe Manchin and Representative Nick Rahall also plan to skip the Convention set for September 3-6 in Charlotte, North Carolina. In recent weeks, the West Virginia Republican Party has blasted Manchin and Tomblin, who have refused to say whether they would vote for Obama. Rahall has said he would support Obama's reelection.
