"Drive Hands-Free" Campaign Kicks Off

{Charleston, West Virginia}...Wednesday, Governor Earl Ray Tomblin's office kicked off its public safety campaign, "Drive Hands-Free." During a ceremony at the state Capitol, Tomblin signed a pledged not to text and drive or use a hand-held cell phone while behind the wheel. Texting while driving was banned by law earlier this year. Using a hand-held cell phone while driving is currently a secondary offense misdemeanor and will become a primary offense in 2013. You can find a copy of the pledge on the governor's website at www.governor.wv.gov.
