{Rita, West Virginia}...State and Logan County officials are trying to help nearly 30 residents of Rita who are being evicted after DB Land LLC acquired the rental properties from Snap Creek Properties. DB Land LLC plans to use the property for commercial purposes. State Senator Art Kirkendoll, the former Logan County Commission president, says Jim Lewis, a DB Land official, told him that he has contacted other land companies seeking available land for the residents. A meeting for the residents is set for 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church in Rita. Residents are asked to bring letters, receipts, lease agreements, etc., from Snap Creek and/or DB Land. Kirkendoll says, “The people of Rita understand that they have to go, but they are just asking for time and help.”
