Stop The War On Coal Act
West Virginia Second District Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito says she expects there to be widespread support Friday in the U.S. House when members vote on the Stop the War on Coal Act. The bill includes the reinstatement of the use of coal and disallowing of the definition of coal ash as a toxic substance and also would limit EPA's power over the states when it comes to enforcing certain regulations. Capito says she's tried to emphasize in various meetings with President Barack Obama and the federal EPA that jobs and the economy should be considered when any new regulations are made, but she says that's fallen on deaf ears, while coal remains under assault.
