{Charleston, West Virginia}...Rodney Shaffer, the man who told prosecutors he was in the truck the night of the Kanawha County sniper killing of Jeannie Patton, has been sentenced to one year and six months for owning more than 23 guns while using controlled substances. Police found the weapons while searching for evidence in the killing on property in Sissonville. Prosecutors say Shaffer, his late father and Shawn Lester were all in the truck the night Patton was killed. Shaffer says he heard the shot and saw the Speedway gas station sign, but he didn’t see who pulled the trigger.
