CAMC Seeks Public Donations

{Charleston, West Virginia}...Charleston Area Medical Center hopes to raise $5 million in public donations to help pay for construction of a new $39 million cancer center that will replace the David Lee Cancer Center at CAMC's Memorial Hospital. CAMC Foundation president Gail Pitchford says that the hospital system will pay $24 million of the construction cost. The foundation's capital campaign has raised more than $10 million for the project. Ground will be broken in late summer. The center is expected to open in 2014.
