Officials Investigating Mingo County Gas Spill

{Williamson, West Virginia}...Environmental officials are investigating a liquid natural gas spill that contaminated a creek in Mingo County Thursday evening. Petroleum Development Corp. owns the gas tank which leaked the fuel into the Paw Paw's Branch Creek. Friday, West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection investigators determined the gas contaminated about a half-mile of the creek.  Paw Paw's Branch Creek feeds into nearby Laurel Lake.
